Ferrari Corso Pilota, exclusively available to Ferrari clients, provides the opportunity to attend a progression of courses that develop driving skills, confidence and ability. Participants begin at the Sport level, before progressing to Evoluzione+, and finally the Race Course, where they will have an opportunity to learn the skills necessary to compete safely in the Ferrari Challenge series.
Corso Pilota Sport offers a complete, progressive program focused on giving participants a comprehensive understanding of sport driving techniques. The two-day course consists of a specific and exciting training program based on an exclusive, personalized teaching method, using Ferrari cars for track work and vehicle control exercises. Up to 28 customers are divided into four groups and receive direct, engaging instruction on the most efficient driving position in the cockpit, progressive acceleration and brake control, and establishing precise driving lines through bends. The training leads up to thrilling car control exercises that demonstrate conditions and application of power oversteer.
The two-day Evoluzione+ Course divides 20 participants into groups of four and offers each the opportunity to develop their on-road Ferrari driving skills while experiencing the unique thrill of driving a 488 Challenge Evo race car. Driving techniques and excitement are enhanced by in-depth telemetric analysis, also based on the use of competition cars and tires. As its name suggests, the Evoluzione+ Course is the natural “evolution” of Ferrari Corso Pilota. By means of dynamic skill trials, the training program helps drivers adapt sports driving techniques to day-to-day situations in advanced track sessions, during which they discover the performance of road-going Ferraris and that of the 488 Challenge Evo race car, as well as furthering their own personal limits.
Ferrari Corso Pilota is completed in the Race Course, the ultimate expression of sports driving instruction dedicated to Ferrari customers. This two-day course takes the sports concepts developed in the previous two programs to their logical conclusion. Ferrari has created the Race Course to provide highly professional and technically advanced instruction in order to bring customers closer to the world of Ferrari racing. It therefore provides in-depth instruction aimed at perfecting driving technique and maintaining constant performance over timed track sessions, as well as teaching participants how they can take part in the Ferrari Challenge professionally, safely and competitively. The dynamic program is based on track driving sessions with the 488 Challenge Evo. Chronometric and telemetric assessment is used to help participants gain familiarity with basic racing techniques, such as starting and overtaking, the procedures at various stages of a race, car setup methods, and race rules and regulations.
Manual gearbox. Analogue controls. Carburettor engine. A historic Ferrari is designed in a different way to contemporary ones, and driving it on a track requires decision, sensitivity, and specific techniques. During the course, you will learn to perceive vibrations on the car, how the chassis behaves and the steering response in order to experience the sporting DNA of the Prancing Horse to the full. Drive four historic Ferraris on the Fiorano circuit, unleashing their full potential and rediscovering the thrill of a manual transmission. Two days returning to life in an era when techniques like heel-and-toe and double declutching were essential, with the help of a professional instructor.
