-Ferrari continuously listens to its clients. Over time, several customers expressed a preference for physical, tactile steering-wheel controls rather than touch commands. The retrofit was developed to respond to this feedback and to offer an additional choice, without changing or correcting the existing solution.
2) Is this retrofit linked to a problem with the current steering wheel? Is Ferrari issuing a safety recall on its steering wheels?
-No. There is no safety recall. The capacitive steering wheel fitted to existing models is fully compliant, reliable and performs exactly as intended. This initiative is not related to safety, but to customer preference: the retrofit is a voluntary option available to clients who wish to adopt a different interface.
3) What are the main benefits of the new steering wheel retrofit?
-The retrofit enhances ease of use and driving focus by reintroducing physical, tactile buttons on the steering wheel. This configuration offers a different and, for some clients and in certain driving conditions, more immediate and intuitive interaction while preserving the technological content, quality and innovation that define Ferrari interiors.
